On September 22nd, Las Vegas–based precious metals vaulter Anthem Vault announced an acquisition of Denver, Colorado–based dealer Amagi Metals. Amagi Metals offers purchase of bullion with Bitcoin through BitPay, a payments processor used by over sixty-thousand businesses and organizations. Anthem Vault’s announcement assures customers that Amagi Metals will continue supporting Bitcoin payments. Sig3 Simplifies Multisig Bitcoin Transactions
Sig3, a Bitcoin startup which launched on September 21st, is looking to simplify multisignature (multisig) transactions through automated co-sign policies. Multisignature Bitcoin addresses require more than one key to authorize a transaction. In the case of Sig3, at least two keys must verify the transaction. This may be the user and Sig3, or multiple users or user keys. Through Sig3, users select conditional policies which must be met before a transaction is approved. Example rules include auto-approving by date, transaction size, white-listed addresses, recipient address(es), or text message (SMS) verification. BitPay Partners With New York Stem Cell Foundation
BitPay, a Bitcoin payment processor used by over sixty-thousand businesses and organizations, has partnered with the New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) to increase the reach of donations. The NYSCF is a non-profit organization using stem cell research to accelerate cures and medicine testing.
